I began my career in my early 20's when I started to work with children with disabilities within the community. I quickly realised that I wanted to continue to pursue a rewarding career which helped people, so I trained to be a Mental Health Nurse in East London. I worked briefly in this field before continuing my higher education to become a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse working with families with children who are aged 0-5. I obtained two awards for achievement in my role in Hackney, before relocating to Bedfordshire in 2015.
On a day to day basis I am faced with tired parents who are struggling with their baby's sleep issues and antenatal parents who really want to 'get it right' but feel the information out there is a minefield! There just isn't enough time within my role at the NHS to dedicate to sleep issues which is why I am excited to be able to offer this service to you.
I am fully aware of the impact sleep can have on you, your baby and the whole family. Sometimes sleep issues are simple and easy to solve with a bit of guidance, other times they are more complex and require a more detailed plan of strategy.
I am committed to providing an ethical service so the plans we provide you do not impact your infants emotional wellbeing - theres no 'crying it out' here!
My own little sleep monster, Cary, has had his own issues which fortunately we've been able to overcome. Therefore I fully appreciate what families go through and how hard it can be. Do not hesitate to pick up the phone or email, we are here to help.
